Best 4th In The North Celebration: June 30th – July 4th, 2019
Sunday, June 30th:
- 8:00 PM – 11:00 PM: Downtown Block Party – Music & Dancing – STAR TREK Original Series Set Tour Parking Lot – Music by Doc Entertainment. *No alcohol allowed. Sponsored by STAR TREK Original Series Set Tour.
Monday, July 1st:
- 4:00 PM – 10:00 PM: Food, Vendors & Rides In Bicentennial Park
*Bracelets $25.00, from 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM. Look for new rides & more! Portion of proceeds to benefit the Best 4th In The North.
- 6:00 – 9:00 PM: Undertone – Hard & Alternative Rock
Tuesday, July 2nd:
- 4:00 PM – 10:00 PM – Food, Vendors & Rides In Bicentennial Park *Bracelets $25.00, from 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM. Look for new rides & more! Portion of proceeds to benefit the Best 4th In The North.
- 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM: Willie Playmore Band – Classic & Modern Rock
Wednesday, July 3rd:
- 4:00 PM – 10:30 PM – Food, Vendors & Rides In Bicentennial Park *Bracelets $25.00, from 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM. Look for new rides & more! Portion of proceeds to benefit the Best 4th In The North.
- PM – 10:30 PM: Touch A Truck & Kids Construction Zone In Bicentennial Park (Across From LaChute Falls. Walk through the covered bridge via the park) *Equipment, Culvert Tunnel, Treasure Dig, Rock Painting, Raffles, Ice Cream, & More. Will be accepting school supply donations as well. Sponsored by Pat Armstrong Inc. Proceeds to benefit the Pat Armstrong Scholarship Fund.
- 4:00 – 7:00 PM: Fire Fighter Competition Area fire fighters come together to compete in the “Fire Fighter Games”.
- 6:00 – 10:00 PM: Grit N Whiskey – Country & Modern Country
Thursday, July 4th:
- 10:30 AM – 11:00 PM: Food, Vendors & Rides In Bicentennial Park Look for new rides & more! Portion of proceeds to benefit the Best 4th In The North.
- 10:30 AM – 1:30 PM & 3:00 PM – 8:00 PM: Touch A Truck & Kid Construction Zone In Bicentennial Park (Across from the LaChute Falls. - 1:30 PM: Montcalm Mile/Parade Route To Close. Light at Walmart Entrance along Wicker Street and Montcalm Street to Tower Avenue.
- 1:45 PM: Annual Montcalm Mile – Montcalm Street, Downtown. Brought to you by the LaChute Road Runners. Cash Prizes. www.lachute.us.
- 2:00 PM: Fourth of July Parade – Montcalm Street, Downtown. 2019 Theme “50’s & 60’s Music” Grand Marshal: James Cawley – Parade In Honor of: Richard Mattison. Announcers: Angela Brown & Mark Barber. Bandstand will be located in front of STAR TREK Original Series Set Tour.
- 7:30 PM – 11:30 PM: Joe McGinness & Band – Country, Rock, & Original
- 9:45 PM/Dusk – Grand Fireworks Display by Santore World Famous Fireworks *Approximate time. The actual time is based on weather and safety conditions. All events are open to the public and donations are appreciated to benefit the Fireworks. All events are in Bicentennial Park in Downtown Ticonderoga unless otherwise stated. All times & information are subject to change.
Parade: The parade will begin at 2:00 PM on July 4th with line up starting near Brannock Properties/Town of Ticonderoga Highway Garage. The bandstand for the parade will be located in front of Star Trek Original Series Set Tour. Prizes and certificates will be awarded for floats in the following categories: Most Patriotic and Most Creative (Theme Related). The Best 4th In The North Committee is excited and pleased to announce that James Cawley is the Grand Marshal for the 2019 Best 4th In The North Parade and that the parade will be held in honor of Richard “Dick” Mattison.
Parade applications as well as rules and regulations are available at www.timainstreet.org or at the Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce office. Parade applications can be returned to the Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce at 94 Montcalm Street, Suite 1, Ticonderoga NY 12883. Parade applications must be returned by June 28, 2019. All businesses, organizations, committees, and community members are encouraged to participate in the parade (must be family friendly). There is no charge for participation in the parade.
Best 4th In The North Partners includes the Ticonderoga Montcalm Street Partnership, Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce, and the Town of Ticonderoga. The Best 4th In The North is also sponsored by a number of businesses, organizations, and community members. Sponsors to be recognized during and after the celebration.
